It’s all about focus

Are you wondering where decency and morality went?  Are you wondering when this country lost its spiritual foothold? Are you wondering where we’re headed if we continue on this apathetic course?  Do you think common sense and kindness have been replaced by selfishness and lawlessness?  If these things are weighing you down, my new book How to be Content in a World Full of Malcontents is for you.  It is now ready on Amazon.com in print and Kindle versions.

This world gives us a lot to complain about. There is always something rubbing us the wrong way, not going the right way, or taking us where we don’t want to be. All these difficulties, hardships, trials and tribulations knock the wind out of us. Make us feel exhausted and beaten down. Sometimes we can’t even see the point of making an effort for family, jobs, or even just common kindness. Maybe we’re looking at things wrong.  Or maybe we’re just looking at the wrong things.

What if we took a minute to stop and think about something else? What if we took a beat to think about what was going right, what was good in our lives, things we often overlook? What if we took time out of our hectic daily lives to think about the direction we would like our lives to take? What if we changed our focus (or got some in the first place!), our perspective, and maybe our priorities (remember those)?

Maybe instead of considering all the bad, unfair, and unimportant things in our lives, we should stop to consider all the good, right and beautiful things that we often take for granted. That might put a smile on your face and hopefully in your heart as well.

How to be Content in a World Full of Malcontents may be able to put your life in perspective. It may give you some insight into how to enjoy the life you’ve been given, how to ignore (or at least better deal with) the obstacles in your path to happiness. We all need a little laughter and joy in our lives (some more than others!), so give the book a read–you won’t be sorry that you did!
